FREE Enrolment. To kick off our Advocacy efforts, we want to add MORE voices to our movement. Make one of those voices yours. People say you won’t grow a business. They say it’s a pyramid scheme. They say don’t be one of those people. You say Janell, I don’t want to seem salesy. Here’s what I say:... You’re making clean beauty your business and many of you can bring home more income than your partners (but who’s counting?). Your friends & family are supporting YOU rather than giving their money to corporate executives at an impersonal retailer. You’re not just selling lipstick; you’re making history by transforming our laws to protect future generations. You should be proud to be in this business. especially when our products reduces people’s exposure to harmful ingredients. Don’t think twice about the haters. Stop watching from the sidelines. Stop talking yourself out of it because you’re afraid of failure. My friend, you’ll always fail if you don’t try! As Gretzky would say, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Plus, you’ve got ME in your corner. Alert: this is a long read but worth it! In our push for full #transparency throughout our mica supply chain, we thought we'd answer some basic questions about the ingredient. First of all, what is mica?... A clean, safe ingredient that we've learned can have a shady supply chain (so we're doing something about it). Where is it used? Across many different industries (automotive, electronics, and plastics). In the beauty industry, mica is used to help achieve that shimmery look in eyeshadows and more. Where does mica come from? All over . It's mined through both formal and informal mines (both of which frequently use forced and child labor). Not all mining is created equal, which is why our team has been traveling the world for the past year conducting on-the-ground audits of our supply chain. What are the challenges? If you want high-performing color cosmetics, you need mica. But the mica industry can come with some alarming and unethical practices. So, we took a deep dive into our supply chain to see firsthand if our suppliers are meeting our high standards for responsible sourcing. Want to learn more? Check out our trailer for our upcoming documentary on the MICA industry! #jointhemovement #bethechange #productjunkie
