Wish me luck today I’m going to attempt to bake an entire cake For years, I’ve been ordering sobeys $8 little round cakes and scraping the icing off to make naked smash cakes for my kids.. so I called yesterday to order one and they don’t make them anymore apparently. I wasn’t even sure I was going to do a cake smash for Ben but since I’ve done them for the other kids and we have nothing better to do, I figured I may as well. So if you need me today I’ll be attempting to bake a semi decent looking cake that my kid is going to destroy.

I’m ready for GREENS to come back I think it must be one of my favourite colors. I’ve never really had a favourite color. Never. When someone asks me what my favourite color is, I never have a definite answer. I really do love all colors. I have started to notice though, that I particularly love photos with lush greens as well as earthy tones like rust and mustard. And, of course i love my neutrals like creams. When I look at my client closet, I also notice that all of the colors i choose end up falling under these tones as well! Are you earthy tones, neutrals or bold color loving?!

My posts have been filled with mamas and babies lately so I thought I’d switch things up. My wedding season doesn’t start for a couple of months, so be prepared for mostly still bellies and babies.

So many babies lately and I’m loving it! I miss Bennett being this little. He’s going to be ONE in 1 week. I’m so lost on how he grew up so fast. Snuggle your babies as much as you can because they grow up too fast

Going through all of 2020’s wedding photos has me SO excited for all of the special days I get to document this year. My 2022 books are open and I’m only taking on a very limited number of weddings next year so please don’t wait to reach out if you’ve been thinking about it. Tilt Shift Fun! I don't use this lens a ton but it can create some super artsy images. They aren't always perfect, but thats the beauty in it. Also, finally getting a chance to go through all of the wedding photos from weddings i second shot last year. Like this sweet day with Allie Knull's Photography - Edmonton Photographer . I know it can be hard to get up every day and have these little people rely on you. I know it's hard to feel like sometimes your world is so small. I want to remind you, you are the world. You are the world that those little ones revolve around. You are their nurture, their home, and their comfort. ... You are everything to them, and I hope even on your hard days you know how special you are. Especially to your little people. This one always gets me.

I really want to start writing again. I used to actually enjoy it, I always felt like I had so much to say and it always flowed so naturally. Now, I feel quite the opposite. Is it baby brain? Is it getting old? I feel like my brain is a giant blob of mush when it comes to thinking of anything interesting to say. I thought I’d start retraining my brain to enjoy writing by doing some journaling. But where do you start? What do I write about?! Does anyone here journal? What ki...nd of things do you write about? I feel if I were to start right now it may go something like I’m tired, my head hurts, I wish these kids would listen, I need a shower or something along those lines So, if you keep a journal, what kind of things do you write about?
