Seattle was....interesting. I was looking forward to walking by the waterfront, but it was rainy and there was actually a lot of construction going on and many things were closed. It was October by now, so the tourist season was over, but still a little disappointing. The rest of the city was nice. The coffee shop culture is strong in the city, as you'd expect the home to Starbucks to be (no, we didn't go to the original location...and as we learned on our walking tour the or...iginal location has actually moved, so it no longer is). And the Pike Place Market is as cool as people think hence why it's always busy (fish throwing is a thing). Next was Portland. I actually don't have many photos from the city, but we did love it. There was even lots of areas to hike around right within the city, which was nice. We also got to spend time with one of my childhood friends from my grandma's village and spontaneously visit her University town just outside of Portland. :D Los Angeles. Beaches, palm trees, sun! We were lucky to be able to visit with my best friend from Slovakia (friends since Grade 1) and meet up with a friend from high school. :) The LA downtown is a bit rough around the edges, but it's got character and we loved it. :) And then there's the coastal suburbs with all the beaches and piers. Our very last stop was San Francisco. We arrived in early November, so the weather was great for walking around the giant hills they call streets. There's definitely a lot to see. See more
