The live session for Til' You Got Yours was shot in the house where some of the band members used to rent on Federal in the West end of Toronto. We hung a few light bulbs around the jam room and handed our friend Bryan Boake a camera. Little did we know he had the directors touch, a natural right out of the gates! -Jeff Listen to the full version--> https://ffm.to/tilyougotyours
I really hope everyone listening to this version of this song is picking a harmony and singing it into the air because the chorus on the recording has one of the richest sounding vocals on earth. If your apart from a loved one hopefully they're thinking of you now as you sing and maybe someday soon they'll be home in your arms. -Jeff
As much as everybody misses the performance aspect of music, more than anything I miss the ‘conversation’ element that happens on stage. The action and reaction, the push and pull, the musical chops that reveal each player’s personality. It’s that musical shaking of hands or big embrace that’s impossible to replicate by yourself or over the internet. -Tom : Kat Webber
You’re the Light was a collaboration with lighting designer Nathan Whitford of Urban Visuals. Having Nathan on board brought the song to a whole new level. Directors Kat Webber and Julien Peter showcased the band in our best ‘light’ . Co-Written with Fast Romantics Matthew Angus, and produced by Derek Hoffman, this song was a true collaboration and was the first single off of 2019’s Casual Island. It was a blast through and through and we hope you enjoy it. -Zach Listen to You're The Light -->https://ffm.to/yourethelight
Come hang out with me while I teach how to play our song Change Her Mind this Friday!
Nothing beats the feeling of walking onto a stage in a room full of people who are there to see you, and only you. It is the destination every musician, band and songwriter looks forward to their whole career, and when you arrive it's like finally walking into that 5 star resort you worked so hard to save up for. But as much as that experience can't be mirrored, it's not until you get there, and look back, that you realize how incredible the journey was, with all the wild nights, the deep conversations on the car rides and the friends you may have never known. In short, I think it's all the bumps in the road and the soaring highs along the way that I truly miss, because those are experiences you can't dream up, and the ones that truly shape you as an artist. - Jeff : Kat Webber

I miss playing to a room full of strangers. Maybe we’re the opening act...or maybe we’re playing a town we’ve never been to before. It’s very satisfying knowing that it's just the 4 of us going on stage trying to win over people who have no idea who we are. When people come up to u & say they’d never heard of u but now they’ve been converted into fans...it’s such a great feeling. -Devon

Live music brings people together - I miss the energy, the community, meeting new people and catching up with old friends. It's the hangs after the show as well. Grabbing late night food and commiserating with fellow musicians. We know we love what we do but understand that it is a crazy vocation to pursue. Why do we do it? And what is it about live music makes us want to keep going even when the times are tough. I think the absence of live music has made it ever more present why we chose these pursuits. It is the unexpected moments on stage, reaching for new heights musically, finding common ground with people a continent apart, knowing you made a difference in somebody's day, and that your purpose of being an entertainer wasn't taken for granted. -Zach : Kat Webber
The song started with the guitar riff. It had been floating around for 2-3 years before I was able to write anything to it. I ended up scrolling through some website on English idioms and stumbled upon the line Old friends and older wine. It stuck out to me and the song sort of wrote itself from there. I started thinking about all the good times I had with my friends who were an ocean away and went with it. - Devon Watch the full video --> https://ffm.to/oldfriendsjp #TBT
