Many of the houses around us had celebration signs up stating that a graduate lives there. Not to be outdone, Heidi got a puppy school graduate sign of her own

Perfect day for lunch that includes Ontario peaches. Yummy yummy have you had one recently? They are absolutely delicious right now. My eyes were dancing when I saw this lunch plate all assembled. The eyes eat first!

My puppy suffering with FOMO as other dogs walk down the lane. She is 7 months now and getting so big. Her time as a puppy is flying by.

Okay, I am so done with online calendars! People send me meeting minders in outlook, in google, in whatever program and each one has its own calendar. When I merge the calendars it works, for a while, and then each time I do a program upgrade they all separate again and I lose stuff and get all frustrated and want to throw my computer at the wall. If someone asked me how my time is on Friday, I had to look at so many digital sources to confirm my availability. It was stupid. ...How can I not know this detail about my own life at the snap of the finger. The fact that I can’t remember what my Friday looks like is a different conversation. Digital was supposed to make it easier! Well, I am admitting that I LIKE PAPER better. There! I said it. I purchased a pretty calendar, made using soy based inks (makes me feel good) that fits in my purse, that has a place for notes and WORKS for me. Go ahead and laugh you tech savvy people but for those who are nodding your head in agreement, get out there and purchase one for yourself if you are also struggling. There is peace and calm in simplicity. What a difference a day makes.... 24 little hours... She received so many compliments after her grooming. I’m waiting for the day when my salon visit produces such positive results. When you don’t have children, all your attention goes to your fur babies. AND rightfully so! She has been a gift from heaven during this mess. Although I already enjoyed walking for the exercise and just to be with nature, I wasn’t getting out and doing it. Be...cause they depend on us so much, I was out 4 times a day. As a puppy she needed socializing so I spoke with every dog owner in my neighbourhood who was willing to allow our dogs to meet and socialize. We took precautions of course, and some people said no, it’s too risky, which I respect. Thank you to all those who said yes! It provided the opportunity to chat with the owner, get to know them a little more each time, meet their children and feel comfortable enough to greet them on the street even if we’re not with our dogs It’s become an acceptable way to socialize when we’re not really allowed. It doesn’t replace spending time with a loved one or giving a good friend a warm hug but it’s a good second. My mom suggested that my 13 year old going on 18 niece Stefanie wear my old grad dress that I MADE in the previous century for her grade school graduation. I was damn proud of myself after I finished sewing it too. Please don’t ask why my mom still had my dress after all this time? It was a surprise to me too! My niece was having none of that but to her credit was willing to consider it and gently told her grandmama that it wasn’t quite what she had in mind. If you swipe you’ll see the dress she chose and you’ll understand why I say she’s going on 18. She’s the tallest of the group of girls, dressed in a long black gown. Yup, this is what 13 year olds look like today. Totally amazing and I’m so proud of her for sticking to her wishes and capturing her look! Congratulations Stefanie! @stef.perkins
