This is the latest apple variety! Meet Ambrosia! It is everything the name suggests and more. Known as an eating apple for its crisp juicy flesh, it is also firm enough to make a good pie. Mike is at the Farm Market Store in Redendale today. Stop in and say hello and see what we have.
Mike is getting our garlic planted for next year. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We are thankful for the loyal customers we have met this year in spite of the challenging circumstances we have all faced. Thank you to Wendy O'Neil for her continued support to get the Bath Market opened and then reopened after Loyalist Township pulled the plug! Thank you to all the artisan and garden club members who supported us. Thank you to the vendors who have shared their time at markets and... helped to pass the time by sharing stories and laughs, especially to Linda and Michel of Frog Pond Farms who have become friends as well as fellow farmers. Thank you to Karen and Marty, of Bummblerock Farms, who have supplied us with their honey since they have put hives on our property. Be safe and enjoy the family you have close to you! Hi peeps! I have good news and bad news. The bad news is we are sold out of cider. The good news is we have a new batch that will be good until September 2021 unopened, and 3 months opened unrefrigerated. NO PRESERVATIVES. The price is $12.00 and considering the longer storage life it's worth every penny. We have wealthy apples. These are a heritage variety from about 1868. They are sharp refreshing and juicy with a hint of strawberry and raspberry. They are good for eating, drying, pies and crisps, sauce or cider!
Join Mike at the Hometown Market in Napenee from 9 till 2 today! I'm sure he'd love to chat with you!
