It’s all about how serious you’re taking your health, if it’s not your priority then you gonna skip your meals and training here and there and that makes a huge difference at the end.... Results come when you stay consistent with your nutrition and training for longer period of time (12-24 weeks minimum). Now, how can you achieve that consistency? Answer is when you follow something which is sustainable. I have seen people who are consuming 2200-2500 calories, then they want to start a fat loss phase and drop calories straight down to 1200-1400. That’s not sustainable, you’re going to burn out, you’re going to feel hungry all the time, low energy levels and s...o many other things going to happen. Why? Because your body can’t just go from 0 to 100 in a day. You won’t be able to follow it for too long. You need to take baby steps and slowly drop calories. Another important thing which is going to help you stay consistent, is your nutrition and training program is set according to your daily routine? When it comes to healthy weight loss, one of the secrets of success is to eat a balanced diet. Balance here means eating the right amount of nutritious food. In our fast food, take-out world, it is easy to get the quantities wrong and also miss out on the quality as well. So eat when you are hungry but don’t overdo it. Getting back to the basics is important. Instead of snacking constantly during the day, do your best to eat three regular meals. Cook or have your food cooked ...using wholesome, natural ingredients and then eat with others in a relaxed manner. It is not only a question of what you eat, but how you eat that counts. While there are many fad diets (low fat, low carb, etc.) that are being promoted today, it is far better if you can settle into a way of life that you can easily and happily follow for the rest of your life. The traditional diet of yoga practitioners has been a vegetarian diet. The yoga diet consists of fruits, vegetables, grains and milk products. You can not only survive on such a diet, but you will thrive as well, and lose weight all at the same time. Try it out. Substitute meat dishes with soy products, lentils and other legumes, and whole grains. You can get enough protein (especially if you also consume nuts and milk products) so you don’t have to worry about it. Losing weight does not require you to suffer; it is only a question of choosing your food well and balancing your lifestyle. If you want to lose weight on a long term basis you have to change your diet or your pattern of exercise or both. When starting a weight loss plan, you need to determine how many calories you should be having a day. Online calculators abound that will let you input your height, weight, age, activity level and the amount you want to lose and will provide you the total calories you should eat each day. If you know the calories you should consume each day, it's much easier to stay within the guidelines. Treating yourself can actually be an important part of any weight loss diet. Making hard... and fast rules about food, such as telling yourself that you'll never eat chocolate cake ever again, can actually make you obsess about food. This leads to stress and overeating, both of which can ruin your weight loss plan. Try to give yourself a small treat at the end of the week for making your goals. If you are working at weight loss, get into the habit of blotting the fat off the top of your foods. You can save countless calories by soaking up the fat that is standing on a slice of pizza. If you decide to indulge in a burger, give it a little squeeze and soak up the fat that dribbles out. Use less sauces and dressings in your foods. Sauces and dressings are often made with oil or contain lots of sugar.
