Dropped off my pantings this week at Julia Veenstra's studio in Hamilton in preparation for the Square Foot Show. Julia is a great artist and she does great work in her community. She's invited a ton of other amazing artists to participate in her popular annual event. I'm honoured to have my work being sold alongside artists like Gord Leverton and 13 Broken Horses (that's his name). You have to see their work. Sale Runs Dec 7 - 9 (3 days only!) Opening night is Thursday, December 7 at 7 pm sharp! Julia Veenstra Studios is located at 167 James Street North in Hamilton, Ontario

Day 13 of Recommended Reads Title: Same Kind of Different as Me Authors: Ron Hall and Denver Moore The story of an unlikely friendship between a wealthy, Texan art dealer, a homeless man and the woman that brought them together is moving, inspiring and challenging.
Day 10 of Recommended Reads Title: Alla Prima Painting Author: Richard Schimd Notes: Richard included the subtitle "Everything I know about painting and more". Indeed. This is an expansive book from a modern master. It is unpretentious and easy to read. Warm and encouraging. And jam packed with useful info on the craft.
