Dropped off my pantings this week at Julia Veenstra's studio in Hamilton in preparation for the Square Foot Show. Julia is a great artist and she does great work in her community. She's invited a ton of other amazing artists to participate in her popular annual event. Day 10 of Recommended Reads Title: Alla Prima Painting Author: Richard Schimd Notes: Richard included the subtitle "Everything I know about painting and more". Indeed. This is an expansive book from a modern master. It is unpretentious and easy to read. Warm and encouraging. And jam packed with useful info on the craft.
