The Bank of Canada lowered their Key Interest rate or "Overnight Rate" today another 0.5%. The Banks followed suit shortly thereafter reducing their Prime Lending rates by the same increment...bringing our Prime Lending Rate down to 2.45%. It sucks that our economy is struggling, but these rates are good news for all those variable rate mortgage holders out there!

I'm sure you've heard about the payment deferral programs that Mortgage Lenders are offering to those that NEED help during this stressful time. If you'd like more information on what options are available to you please contact your Lender directly as each Lender's program is slightly different. Before you contact them though, please have a read through the 10 points below so that you can have a better understanding of what the program is for and how it works.

The Bank of Canada lowered it's Overnight rate today by 0.50%. So far, most of the "Big Banks" have lowered their Prime Lending Rate by the same increment...I'm confident the others will follow suit also. If you have a variable or adjustable rate mortgage, you can look forward to saving some money on interest going forward.... Got any questions? Please don't hesitate to contact me anytime

Many people trust that their bank is always looking out for their best interests. We need to remember that a bank is a business and their primary goal is to be profitable...like to the tune of $3 Billion each quarter. Don’t fear the Banks, just educate yourself by reading the fine print and asking questions before you sign on the dotted line.... You are in control of the financial choices you make. https://globalnews.ca///td-credit-cards-compound-interest/
