What a weekend at Warburg , Edmonton (western Canadian championships) ! Got the win and the ticket to the grand finals in Portugal ! The weekend started off good as I was very fast in the practice sessions leading up to qualifying. for qualifying I was pole for most of the session until my competitor beat me to pole position by 5 hundredths of a second, so I had to settle for P2. For the 3 heats I wasn’t able to get around the leaders as they would be blocking in nearly every... corner including the passing zones so I struggled to pass and would go on to finish 2nd twice and 3rd for the heats. On finals day I figured out how to get around them by rolling sufficient exit speed out of the corners to pass on the main straight. So for the prefinal I was able to drive off into the distance. For the final I knew I had to do it again by protecting my position on the start, but the driver in P2 decided to turn down on me causing both of us to rub and have contact. He tried to hold the outside and crash down on me again but I managed to protect my line and defend the lead. I would go on to win the final by 4.8 seconds and set the fastest time of the race. With the COVID going on , all of my races scheduled for this year had either been cancelled or we weren’t able to attend.. Fortunately, our local club WCKC was able to host an event while maintaining social distancing and everyone wore a mask and stood 2 meters apart. It turned out to be an awesome event. Lots of people came and I able to race my friend and competitor Garret Britton. We had a close battle in the final with me going across the finish line in first while he finished 2nd. It was great to see everyone again after a year without the club season starting, and the turn out was huge in senior with 22 karts. The next one will be in August, but hopefully they can cut it short and make it sometime in July !

Jason confirms joining Strawberry Racing Team for RGMMC X30 Winter cup in Valencia, Spain So far there are 81 entries for senior class and this will be Jason's debut race in X30 senior. - Ben Leung

Happy Chinese Year to all my friends and supporters around the world.

I was competing in the Rotax Max challenge Taiwan Winter cup earlier this month. This is my first debut race in the senior class. I was struggling a bit at the beginning because the kart weigh a lot more, which caused the kart to handle differently. We were also having some issues with the kart, and it took us some time to figure it out. I qualified 2nd, 1st in Prefinal and finished 2nd in the final.... The Taiwanese local drivers are extremely friendly and I had a great time racing with them. Next race will be the X30 Winter cup coming up in Spain. Stay Tuned!
