Jasper Dental Clinic 30.01.2021

We wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for their patience following the shut down. Your oral health is very important to us and we are working hard to en...sure everyone is seen in a timely manner. We also ask for continued patience as we seek to juggle staffing with the new return-to-school policies and schedules. The health and safety of our valued patients and staff are of utmost importance and there may be days of last minute schedule changes as our children are once again integrated into school settings, bringing about potential runny noses and colds which lead to COVID testing and isolation while awaiting COVID test results. And finally, just to shake things up a little, the Municipality of Jasper has informed us that the water to our building will be shut off on Wednesday, September 30. So again, we ask for your patience as we struggle to shift appointments and ensure you are seen in a timely manner.

To our Jasper, Valemount and Robson Valley patients, Following the 2-month partial closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jasper Dental Clinic has been welcoming patients back since mid-May. Since our reopening, we have made many changes with the health and safety of our patients and staff at heart. Despite these changes, we have been impressed with the patience and understanding that our loyal clients continue to show us. Thank you! To those that have not yet visited us..., you will notice that special emphasis is placed on patient screening: upon confirmation of your dental or dental hygiene appointment we will ask you whether you have any flu-symptoms, as well as pertinent travel and exposure history. When you arrive to the clinic, we will ask you to wait at the clinic threshold where you will be greeted by our receptionist and your forehead temperature will be taken, as well as touchless hand sanitizer dispensed and mask given (if you have one, please wear your own!) prior to being shown to your treatment room. A detailed questionnaire will be completed, again screening for symptoms of COVID-19. A further change is the requirement for higher level personal protective equipment than previously used in our profession: while rendering dental or hygiene treatment, our staff will be wearing surgical gowns, caps and face shields in addition to masks and examination gloves. Our waiting room and reception have been overhauled to remove magazines, toys and books and high touch surfaces are cleaned between customers. Waiting room chairs have been spaced out to allow more space between patients. Again, thank you very much to the wonderful patients that make the Jasper Dental Clinic such a great place to work in these trying times. Together, we will continue to work hard to earn your trust and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. See you soon! See more

Hello everyone! Just to be clear, dental examinations ("check-ups") do not require the enhanced PPE pictured in this article since no aerosols are produced. Every appointment will undergo screening protocol (questionnaire, temperature taken) prior to being seated. Thank you!
