As you can all imagine, this is a very stressful situation. I have been working through all options available to us and will be sending an email to each registrant soon. Sorry for the delay, but given the circumstances, I have been dealing with the loss of business and how to keep my family supported.

March 17, 2020 This is an email I’ve dreaded to send out, and was a decision not taken lightly as it directly impacts everyone - your health, your race goals, the local economy, and everyone's chance to enjoy Jasper National Park. After lengthy discussions with our partners, the necessary mandate by the Alberta Government, as well as the health and safety of our participants, volunteers, and local community, we have decided to cancel the April 18 date of the 2020 Jasper Canad...ian Rockies Half Marathon. As we are still in the early days of understanding the implications of this virus, we cannot yet guarantee a date for the event later this year. Once the government has determined the best course of action for large gatherings, and we have finalized details with Parks Canada, the Municipality of Jasper and our partners, we will let you know the revised race date. I know you have been training well and were looking forward to a great time at our 5th annual event. I have been working hard behind the scenes since last April, in preparation for this years’ event to ensure you had a great experience. March 13, 2020 In light of the latest information from the Alberta Government (Events with more than 250 attendees are to be cancelled), and the continually evolving nature of the novel coronavirus, we have not yet made a decision on the status of this years’ event. WIth the race still 5 weeks away, we are currently in discussions with Parks Canada, Tourism Jasper, the local health authority, and our partner hotels to ...determine the best course of action.
