hi! I’m jayden and this is my husband jensen! i know, our names both start with a J and end with an ‘en’ hahaha. I never thought I’d end up with someone with a J name, especially because five of my siblings also start with a J lolol but here we are! every time I post a pic of myself it comes with five fun facts! since jens is also in the pic, I figured we could make this a couple themed post. ONE. we met at a dance in a parking lot haha. there was a welcome week dance party t...hat was supposed to be happening on a rooftop at mount royal university in calgary, but at the last minute security said it couldn’t happen so it was moved to a parking lot at the university of calgary. I met jensen briefly and thought he was friendly but that’s about all I can remember from that first introduction! TWO. the following week, four of us were teamed up to collect cans from doorsteps for the calgary food drive and jensen drove us in his 1992 baby blue corolla. we did an excessive amount of U turns that day and called ourselves team U turn. to this day when we turn around will occasionally say team U turn back in business hahaha. THREE. jens texted me can I call you? and I said yes, then he immediately called me and asked me on a date. he didn’t want to ask over text because #chivalrywasntdedin2011 hahaha. he took me to the calgary tower and when he walked into the revolving door, I thought it was big enough for both of us but it wasn’t. so I awkwardly spooned him while we shuffled to gtfo as quickly as possible FOUR. months later when I thought we were just seeing each other he introduced me to his family as his girlfriend and I just rolled with it. hahaha and FIVE. a year later he blindfolded me and took me to each of those places, then proposed at a spot that overlooks the skyline. and the stellar @rachelcampbellphoto was there to capture it all from a distance! he absolutely finessed it, except he didn’t have any kleenex on hand which I needed because you KNOW I ugly cried. I can not even tell you how many times I have had to google if it is clementine or clemintime. I am a 27 year old woman. what about you?! what is something that you learned when you were waaay too old???? hahahaha I have a whole dang list!!

eating breakfast for dinner is so much fun. eating dinner for breakfast tho? feels inappropriate what is your fave breakfast food?!?! mine is eggs benedict. but instead of an english muffin put that egg on a waffle and it’s *chefs kiss* perfection.

every SINGLE time jensen goes to get the mail from the mail box he sings here’s the mail it never fails, it makes me want to wag my tail, when it comes I want to wail maaaail hahahahahaha and if singing blues clues in your thirties with no children isn’t the purest thing you’ve ever heard in your life I don’t know what is!!!!!!! your turn! what is your favourite thing that your significant other does?! with all the covid restrictions in place and my january 1st wedding getting rescheduled, we have decided to cancel our alberta trip for christmas. it is weird to spend my first christmas away from immediate family, and jensen hasn’t seen his family for a whole year now, but we are grateful for our health and for facetime!!!!! I know we will make up for it with epic mems next year!! since we got married (seven years ago) we have never spent christmas at our home before, so I l...egit have like two decorations (that I bought after cancelling our trip this week lolol). it’s looking festive AF in this house hahaha with that all being said, we have two weeks off with just the two of us! what are your favourite christmas traditions? we need inspo photo by my associate @rachelcampbellphoto

I hope everybody has been having a good tuesday!!!!!! how has mine been you ask???? just filled with crippling anxiety while I wait to be seen at the endodontist to see if I need to redo the root canal that I had done a year ago. turns out they can get infections???? cool cool cool. RIP @ me. anybody want to place bets that I will cry during this appointment due to my fear of dental work? I would like to say I’m optimistic that I can keep it together since it’s just scans today. but I intentionally didn’t wear mascara in case it does happen hahaha it’s fine I’m fine everything is fine. ps how cute is @jennieguenardphotography’s family after they picked some flowers from the garden? HI! I’m so glad you’re here. my name is Jayden and this is me! every time I post a photo of myself, it comes with five fun facts. I have done this too many times and am convinced y’all already know everything about me. let’s hit it boizzzz. ONE. I absolutely love public speaking. I am a middle child so when I have everybody’s attention I thrive hahaha. I was always doing speech competitions growing up and auditioned for every play and musical my schools put on. so when it com...es time to set up each formal family photo at a wedding, I know how to werk the crowd haha. TWO. I have a mole on the back of my neck right at my hairline and I have accidentally ripped it off so many times over the years. am i ok???? no. THREE. I have no shame in the fact that I am basic AF. do I have every word memorized to pitch perfect, she’s the man, and eloise at christmas time? you best believe. FOUR. I photographed my first seven weddings before I was 18! I have known that photography was my passion since I was 14. I am so so grateful that I knew at a young age so I was able to pursue my dreams and be a full time photographer by the time I finished post secondary! and FIVE. when I say I finished post secondary I don’t mean graduated LOL. I completed three years out of the four year bachelor of design as a photography major. only 18 people were accepted to the program and I threw it away???? hahaha it was a controversial topic at the time and one I thought through for a whole year. and thankfully I am so glad I made that choice! I was getting too busy with my wedding photography business and travelling and I am grateful that I don’t need a degree for this career. I decided to spend my last years tuition money on a workshop in california and new gear and haven’t stopped learning since! #noragrets. my sister @jessahcartwrightt has been in california visiting me for a hot minute now and it has been a ballin’ time!!!!! here are a few of my favourite quotes of things she has said during this trip: jessah: the number one most disgusting thing in the world is watching someone hold a hard boiled egg in their hand and then bite into it. it will not be welcome in my home. jessah: (while looking at the painted ladies in SF) I just want to slam you to the ground.... jessah: downward dog just isn’t a safe space. I do not feel safe in downward dog. (after I sang cotton eyed joe to her) jessah: I just realized it isn’t caught-nigh-joe. anybody else hate hard boiled eggs????? hahahaha lmk

today marks our second american thanksgiving since living here! @jessahcartwrightt and I woke up to a glorious breakfast that @jensenmcampbell had made for us with cards he wrote for us at our plates like who is this man????? idk. cash us driving up the coast, watching sunset at the beach, and eating mexican food for dinner tonight! what are your thanksgiving traditions?
