during my two weeks of holidays from my day gig ive enjoyed learning several new tunes for the show, also refining the running list, tightened up this and that. for a while i had this big bloated list of 100ish tunes and on any given night id cherry pick as i went. which works, but lacked continuity. sure ill always take requests and have a degree of spontaneity, but i work better when theres a balance of structure to things. in this business, it makes for a better show ov...erall. so end product is three solid 45 min sets (3 sets of 13) with about a a half dozen on deck ready to go. this format should work well this weekend at the Crushed Can in MJ, but will definitely change for the Revival Room show April 1. That room will be more like two slightly longer sets (2 x 15 songs). Also i suspect that room calls for a tweaked set that leans a little more classic rock and maybe a license to play a few more oddities. anyhooz, looking forward to some more music friendly times. stay well, my friends. cheers, j

hey kids, hope u are well. so the gig this Saturday in Regina is canceled due to unforseen circumstances ahhhh who are we kidding. It's because of The Great Pandemic of course.
