A caesarean birth is, after all, a birth, and all the emotions that come with birth come with Caesarean section as well. Birth is birth, friends. We can go around and around talking about vaginal vs. belly birth but at the end of the day, it’s not about that. It’s about you, your choices, your options, and being informed. While the differences between the two ways of birthing are many, the emotions that accompany babies coming into the world are the same. The joy of ...new life, the shock for BirthGiver and baby, and everything in between. Birth is messy, complex, beautiful, and a miracle. Always. Please know, birth doesn’t always go as planned. Sometimes, there is huge fear around a planned vaginal birth turning into a belly birth (and vice versa). When these hopes and dreams are not realized, that can be so sad and so hard.
