Hi beautiful FB family! It’s my birthday today and my new album is out. I’m very excited, and also putting myself in a vulnerable place sharing that art with you. For my birthday, I would love it and be so humbled if you would share this wildly and freely on every platform you can. That is my ONE birthday wish for today I know that music is a very individual and personal experience, and it won’t resonate with you all. Everyone has particular genres, keys, chord progr...essions, lyrics, styles and beats that spark them just in that oh so right place. However, if you share it, it may be more likely to land upon someone it does resonate with! That is, after all why I choose to publish my music. I am so deeply and humbly indebted to all of the musicians who have been vulnerable enough to share, and whose songs have resonated with me in that just right place. And those who have inspired me to create, including my very special father and mother. Music has walked with me, carried me, and healed me. Through sharing my work, I hope that I can one day touch someone in this same way. If enough of you choose to gift me with a share on my birthday, maybe it can reach someone who needs it Please choose whatever service you need to listen on! And do give the songs their best chance with headphones, your car stereo or a good speaker, pretty please! And rock out for me this weekend SPOTIFY: https://open.spotify.com/album/2eeIbHKZku8FiAULeyT0Jd APPLE MUSIC: https://music.apple.com//album/dimensional-shift/1526421889 YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/playlist GOOGLE PLAY: https://play.google.com//Jayne_Karma_Lamo_Dimensional_Shif TIDAL: https://tidal.com/browse/album/151015379 DEEZER: https://www.deezer.com/en/album/165212332 See more

Everyone dies a little everyday. So simple, so true. Which parts of yourself died today?

I was pawing through my photo albums for some photos of ancestors for Samhain. Found these gems instead! Thought you guys might enjoy taking a little trip down my memory lane - these are some shots of my Dad and I having fun in his home recording studio in the late 80’s. Followed by some amazing photos of my preschool class visiting the studio for a field trip. The joy and awe in the kids’ faces felt really poignant to me. My Dad has always been a huge inspiration for me... in creating music. The gift of being able to learn from him and create in his studios over the years has brought me the joys of music, and given me the spirit and invitation to be able to create on my own as an independent artist. Loving this awesome Dad. Grateful I don’t have to put him up on my altar of passed ancestors yet and can still share a physical jam space with him!

Hello lovelies! I’ve become very disillusioned with FB’s pages as I find I am getting almost no engagement with most of my posts on here. I’ve been posting much more on Instagram, and having a lot more success there with interactions. Ultimately, if you aren’t seeing my posts or engaging with them, there’s not a whole lot of point to it is there? Anyhow, I would like to formally invite any of you who haven’t yet to join me on Instagram @ www.instagram.com/jayneka...rmalamo I’m a lot more active there, especially with the musical side of things. I will be cooling off on posting here for a while but will still be responding to messages, so never fear, I am here

A 7 foot tall statue of Medusa holding the head of Perseus will be installed in Manhattan across from the New York County Criminal Court where high profile abuse cases have been held, such as the Weinstein case. This glorious piece of art and activism is created to reverse the roles of the original Greek sculpture which depicts Perseus holding her head after having murdered her. It stands as a representation of women taking their power back and true justice being served. M...any of you might not know, but the story of Medusa is a tale of victim blaming and rape. After having been raped by Poseidon in her temple, Athena supposedly transforms Medusa to her Gorgon state as punishment for being raped. And her and Poseidon just keep on keeping on. Medusa’s all keeping to herself like, and men keep trying to come and kill her. Perseus is asked by a king to bring him back her head as a trophy, and with his cunning male wit and superiority, he supposedly tricks her and kills her. Yeah, no thanks on that historical version. I much prefer the less popular opinions that Athena blessed her with her powers so she would no longer be raped again by another man. OR better yet other non whitewashed depictions of her that can can be traced back to Libya where she is found as the Triple Goddess Anatha as part of her three aspects: Athena, the Maiden, Metis, the Mother, and Medusa, the Crone. Anyway, I think this statue is BAD ASS and I absolutely love that it coincides with the writing and releasing of my song Fierce, which basically calls for the narrative to be flipped and her power returned, along with the power of all scorned and abused women. I would love to see this statue in person! Read more about it here: https://www.mwthproject.com
