Snowblower friction wheels and drive chains need maintenance from time to time. A good low temperature lithium grease is good for shafts and chains underneath the belly pan. Common issues are seized drive selectors and creaking in the chain area. Remove all rust from moving shafts and lube with a good quality grease.

It is a good time to start checking over your snowblower for the coming season. Snowblowers sit for a long period which can be trouble for untreated fuel. Pull your machine out on a cool day. Start it up to make sure it is running at its peak and to make sure your belts are in good condition. Check for unwanted rodent damage as animals like to make a home in these machines.
