I’m grateful that my family is alive and healthy: that my sweet girls adoption became OFFICIAL this year even though the court system was all kinds of a hot mess. I’d like to say I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned; but honestly I’m still pushing through them so feelings of gratitude are a bit out of touch still (just being honest)... but I am confident that I will be better for these lessons and hardships. Sometimes you just have to run away from it all to gain perspective, rest, and refocus. I sure didn’t plan to be just recovering from mental fatigue while away to be slammed with a new round of covid restrictions here in Alberta. But I am damn happy that i listened to the update while sitting in my car looking at mountains. If these announcements have struck you like they did me; I see you and feel you. The holiday season is my fave time of year; I love people and Christmas... traditions and parties! I am choosing to focus on the things I still have, the people in my life, and knowing that there IS a light at the end of this tunnel.. even though the tunnel is much longer than I’d ever want it to be. If you are struggling to see that light.. please message me. We really do need community to get through this. I am beyond grateful that I had the ability and finances to sneak away to Canmore this week. My mental health sure needed a mini break.
