A fun new project done for a terrific client that was MORE than patient with my super busy life!! Brings me back to my childhood!

Homer is complete. When Alex woke up this morning and saw that I had finished while he was sleeping he immediately wanted to put it on his wall :) So happy he likes it!!!

What was your favorite cartoon childhood memory? For my 11 year old it's definitely The Simpsons. It's the first pictures he really tried drawing with a more concentrated effort and he knows so much about all the characters that sometimes it amazes me how much knowledge one brain can hold! It dawned on me (as I was getting ready to plan another painting for my husband) that I have not made a painting for Alex...ever! Still A LOT of shading to do but Homer is coming along. It will be a 4 piece series but im going to finish this individual one first and then start on a client piece. The background is pink at the request of my son...he wants me to add sprinkles so it look like a donut :)

This canvas took over a year to paint....mostly because I wasn't feeling it for a while so I moved on to other projects. I need to darken the blood a bit and add a highlight but otherwise I'm done!!! I have a happy hubby!
