Well another summer over. The Snack Shack Is winterized for the next 7 months,we had a great summer and we would like to thank everyone who supported us,you are appreciated more than you know.For those of you that dont know we have a plan to build a small dining room,me and Nick have been planning this for the last 5 or 6 years and approximately 2.5 years ago we presented to the town what our plans were and we were approved to move forward with this,it has taken awhile but w...e are starting this in the spring. It wont be a huge room but it will be a cozy one. I am so excited to get this started...I dont claim to be anything but an old Newfie girl who likes to cook and feed people,I just love it.....Fleur de Lys is where we plan on staying so we decided that we have to do something that will benefit not only us but our little town that we are so proud of. Our community is growing slowly but surely,we have our little convenience store ( B&B Foodex),we have Skipper Sheas Lounge, we have a small hair salon ( D.Js Salon), we have a beautiful Air B&B( Woman of the Sea Hospitality Home)and new this year we have Samanthas Salt Water Joys museum & cafe which is a beautiful experience in itself. Fleur de Lys also has a beautiful museum and quarry site based on the Dorset People.Our town is also lucky enough to have an abundance of talent,such as artists/ painters,singer/ songwriters,storytellers,quilters,knitters, walking trails that lead you to points to view majestic 10,000 year old icebergs in the heart of iceberg alley. If you havent havent seen any of the places or people Im bragging about please come and check it out,you wont be disappointed!!!! See more

A little dessert that I will be serving at the Snack Shack a couple times a week,couldnt think of a name to call them so I decided on this BEAR BALLS just had to do it......

View from the Snack Shack.....I just love it....the White Bay.....some days we can watch the whales jumping and water spray from them just coming to the surface for air,absolutely gorgeous. In case your wondering the boat is the Barrett Privateers !!!
