Another local business we support. The best dog trainer in the city. Grooming (cats and dogs!), and doggy daycare! If you’ve got behavioural problems, or just want a brush up on some techniques, Ginette is the dog whisperer.
We treat Carpal Tunnel - check out this blog if it's something you, or someone you know, suffers from!
Just one of the local businesses we support. Who doesn’t like pie? Sweet pies. Savoury pies. All delicious.
The opiod crises has affected hundreds of thousands. I wrote an article about this a few months ago on my blog. https://wordpress.com/post/weeklystretch.wordpress.com/363 Glad to see that they're taking responsibility - but for so many, it's far too little, way too late.
We appreciate and understand that these times are stressful, we’re all doing the best that we can. Here at TFX we try to support local and small businesses as much as possible. We believe it’s important to support our local economy, especially during these trying times. As always, thank each and every one of you for your support. We’ll get through this together ... Take care and be safe folks.

Do you experience sciatica? Consider trying shiatsu and yoga. Paula Charnley shared how shiatsu, yoga and meditation can help alleviate pain and other symptoms associated with sciatica. Read it here: http://ow.ly/rXez50BTmAO
Yes, we do infant massage! More correctly, we instruct mums and dads on how to do infant massage - and this knowledge can be used as they age! Protip: massage for growing pains works wonders
COVID-19 has changed each interaction during both virtual and in person appointments. I would have never thought I would be discussing a pandemic throughout ea...ch shift with every client. Topics from mask usage, COVID fatigue, changes to government restrictions, online schooling and programming, loss of jobs, financial strain, exhausted business owners, etc...have become frontline conversations. I’m tired, clients are tired. Not only am I working to assist whatever physical or medical concern, but there needs to be additional understanding and support around COVID-19. Every client coming into the clinic has experienced some level of change from the pandemic. A widespread belief system of the pandemic has also been prominent. My role continues to be to a non judgemental active listener working to support each client with their injury while respecting their beliefs and opinions. Bringing a client-centered, biopsychosocial approach to each appointment has always been my approach but this seems to be required now more than ever. I am hoping as a community we can work towards supporting one another to get through this pandemic TOGETHER with some compassion and realizing mental and physical health are essential for managing our wellness during this time. We need to be in this together, even 8 months later! Stay safe Sara #staysafe #covid_19 #physiotherapy #physio #reginasask #eastregina #yqr #yqrsmallbusinesses #yqrlocal #wellness #inthistogether

UPDATE! There has been a confirmed COVID case in building 2 of our complex. As you know we are located in building 8. Thankfully we’re are at the far end of the complex. Our building management company has already sent our janitorial staff to disinfect, and will keep up a high regimen as this tenant remains quarantined. ... There’s minimal risk to our patients. May I remind my patients that wearing a mask is mandatory in the common areas of the building. Wear your mask in and out of your treatment. We continue to maintain our strict regimen of disinfection pre and post treatment. We provide hand sanitizer when you arrive. Your health, wellbeing, and safety is our number one priority. Stay safe friends

First, my apologies for this delayed article it’s been a busy couple of weeks. I’d like to continue on my series of weekly stretches, focusing particularly on those of us that are sitting for prolonged periods of time. Desk workers and I’m going to target a niche group, streamers. The latter group especially sit for an extended period of time, generally playing video games for their viewers, chatting and having a good time. Opioid apocalypse. That's what I choose to call it. Most refer to it as the opioid crisis, and it certainly is a crisis. Many are also calling it an epidemic. Whatever you choose to call it, it's horrific. It has torn families apart. Destroyed lives and careers. Turned unwitting Dr's and primary care givers into, effectively, drug dealers. Made addicts out of non-addicts; people society would have referred to as upstanding citizens. [ 1,517 more word ] https://weeklystretch.wordpress.com//opioid-crisis-part-1/
Here is some humour for your Saturday afternoon! We hope everyone is having a great weekend!

When was the last time you stretched your pecs? This is a group of muscles that is often overlooked. Especially in todays' world of working from home or at a desk. It's likely you don't think much about your shoulders rolling forward, and probably aren't even aware that it's happening. It doesn't sound like a big deal either. So what if our shoulders roll forward? [ 1,243 more word ] https://weeklystretch.wordpress.com//tight-pecs-a-tale-of/
Welcome back, to a slightly hot topic. Well, hotly debated amongst RMT's anyways. Massage Regulation, and more specifically, increased training is the real issue at hand here. Let's wind the clock backwards about 9ish years. I had graduated the first year of my massage program, and was entering the second year. Several of my classmates from the first year decided to not go ahead with the second year. [ 1,545 more word ] https://weeklystretch.wordpress.com//regulation-game-when/
It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? A very long minute in fact. It’s been around 5 years since I last penned an article for my blog. Today I’m breathing life into the Weekly Stretch, and bringing it back from the brink. The past several years has brought personal and professional growth, and many struggles. Granted, 2020 has been the universal year of struggles. [ 1,181 more word ] https://weeklystretch.wordpress.com//weekly-stretch-retur/
