We were baking in the heat today working with @bushballa at @stillcreekhomestead to get their #barnwood ready for the kiln. Good thing we had metal detectors and a homeowner that went through the pile ahead to keep nail strikes to a minimum. Weve been commissioned by our friend Jack over at Romagnoli Farms to re-saw some extremely old - hand hewn - red oak beams to build a new / old deck in the bed of his Fargo Powerwagon. These beams have a story as does the truck. Dont know the story? Maybe you should drop in while we do it. It would be a great time to pick up some truly fresh and actually local produce from Jack and his family. It would also be a great time to see our sawmill in action! We will be cutting th...e beams and rebuilding the deck on Sunday August 2nd from about 10 am until we are done - hopefully by 4pm.
