Sorry.. I need to brag a bit.... GOLDEN STICK!!! I am SOOOOO incredibly proud of my little girl.... From barely being able to stay up on skates last December... To THIS! ... She joined hockey this year with kids older than her who have been playing the past few years.... She had zero experience, and as mentioned, very VERY basic skating skills...... What I’m SO proud of is how HARD she tries and doesn’t give up. She falls down and gets back up again... OVER and OVER, without complaints.... I never thought at 41 I could learn something from my (just turned) 9 year old, but her perseverance AND progression has been so, so impressive for me to see... and essentially take some notes from. Ultimately, we all stumble and fall, we take hits.... but it’s how we get back up and keep moving forward that makes us who we are. My heart is full of pride for her tonight!
