If your breaker keeps tripping every so often stop and call an electrician. Good thing the customer finally checked when the breaker stopped working. Multiple wires melting back. If you haven't looked in your panel in a while, best to call an electrician to inspect it.

If you have this type of breaker panel, might want to get the panel changed. Federal Pioneer breakers have had recalls on them back in the 90's. Either replace all the breakers or better yet replace the entire panel.

If you are at the Dufferin Mall, be sure to stop at the Mi Churros kiosk. They have some fresh delicious Churros brought in from their Brampton location. J Electric did the work for the kiosk and the next kiosk will be in sq1, hopefully before the end of August.

People might be using their fuse panels unsafely, and not even know it. If the fuse panel doesn't have fuse-rejectors or indicators of what fuse rating to use, then the possibility of the incorrect fuse size might be used. Using the incorrect fuse rating can be quite dangerous, running higher currents, above what the wire is capable of handling. If the current is too high, for the size of wire, the insulation will melt and burn your plugs and switches or worse. Electrical fires are no joke, if in doubt put a 15 amp fuse in place, then make a call to a licensed and capable electrician, at 416-897-0894, to either repair or replace your fuse panel. Replacing a fuse panel for a breaker panel has benefits both in safety and reliability but also financially.

A great way to add perimeter lighting around the house, without breaking the bank on the utility bill, add LED Potlights. These lights are rated 7w with 700 lumens (brightness). A good comparison of lumens is a 100 watt incandescent light bulb 1600 lumens. Regular bulb is about 16 lumens per watt while a LED is a whopping 100 lumens per watt, talk about efficiency. You can always go for a bigger size pot light (6 inch) for more lumens or more closed together. I prefer doing them on bungalow style homes, not having standing on the lower roof or working off a extension ladder.

Dealing with car and truck dealerships can be such a pain. Let me tell you one thing, it wasn't a pleasant experience. I purchased this vehicle from Seven view Chrysler, Jeep , Dodge, Ram. I don't recommend going to these guys, unless you want the headache and feeling of being ripped off. I didn't have the energy to deal with them nor the luxury to wait for another vehicle. I''m happy with the brand but not the dealership. The vehicle was suppose to be white, no rust proofing or extended warranty added. They still added it on, making decisions for me. The money isn't the issue but what they did and how they did it. They won't receive my future business when I upgrade to bigger better and I hope you share this with others. They don't seem to care about their image, so pass this along.

Homeowner worst nightmare. Having vacated tenants leave behind shady electrical work, that have no business touching it. Scary stuff, leave this kind of stuff to the professionals to fix. You never know what else might be hiding. I counted 8 or so electrical infractions, some of the work requires cutting ceilings and walls to fish or find wires.

Why your breakers trip and fuses blow/trip. One big reason is, you have too many things hooked up on the same circuit. It is imperative to spread out the power consumption / load. Your breakers/fuses may trip or blow because they are just doing their job. Breakers stop the wires from getting too hot and melting the insulation away. This can lead to possible fire if it sparks in the drywall or worse, electrocution, having power connected where it shouldn't be. The breaker / fuse act like preventative measures. Never try to bypass the safety or increase the size of breaker fuse without changing the size of wire. Best to call an electrician upgrade or add circuits to your panel.

Outdoor underground wiring Whenever you want power outside for plugs, lights or sub-panels. You either will put it in a pipe or use underground rated cable. To have power going across the lawn, garden, or pool. You want that electricity deep in the ground, about 2 to 1.5 foot below the ground. You just don't want garden work or lawn care ending up hurting you or someone else because the installer or previous owner didn't safely place the electrical wires a safe distance, for whatever reason. We try to keep exposed electricity away from us, to protect us and still enjoy its power in a safe manner. The trench diggers for rent aren't cheap but they really speed up the labour time. They typically go for around 200 for a day. The job can take 3 to 4 hours about a total cost of 500 - 600 with all said and done.

Aluminum wiring mixed with copper wire Having aluminum wiring on it's own isn't bad but the moment you add copper wire to the mix , your gonna have issues if connected together without the proper procedure. What happens over time the copper and aluminum begin to corrode creating resistance and heat. Over time it becomes a hot spot, which starts melting the insulation at that point, exposing bare bare for a host of problems. If nothing else the connection point will become to...o resistive for electricity to pass through, losing power in that circuit. Best case lose power, worst case it starts a fire. This is a slow problem but it will come around if the wires weren't properly treated and connected together. To properly connect dissimilar metals you need to add antioxidizing paste and specific types of connectors to prevent any kind of issues. If you've had unexplained power lose or know you have both types of wiring in your home, call 416.897.0894 J Electric or your local electrician.

A mounted tablet is great if you have a home security system like RING, NEST, Dlink security or any other app connected system. You can be in the kitchen and see around your house. Still looking for a wall flush mount and the power cable could have been hidden in the wall, not my choice.
