Harvested a basket of tomatoes, jalapeños, cucumbers and lettuce from the greenhouse this morning. Thought it would be fun to take a pic on the new blanket of snow. :) . Not sure how much more we will get, we have not yet fully mastered the heating process and some of the tender veggies are not entirely happy. But learning lots - that’s the point of an experiment right?!

Another Sunday in the kitchen - trying to clear the backlog of tomatoes I froze at the height of harvest time. 21 jars of roasted marinara sauce and 5 of roasted tomato broth. If you are wondering, they were green varieties of tomatoes (fully ripe) hence the colour. Plays with your mind, but just as delicious! . I jumped into canning with both feet this year, as part of our attempt to grow much of our own food. This was all in the works pre-pandemic, but what a year to start! Our pantry is bursting with the fruits of our labour. . #grateful #abundance #sustainableliving #canning #tomatoes #greentomatoes #heirloomtomatoes #farmlife @ Jellyby Farm

Doubling up the fence to keep our goats contained. When the season shifts and the pasture growth slows down, they suddenly become airborne and roam the property eating everything in sight. We didn’t plant all our saplings, berry bushes and other perennials as a goat buffet!! Any advice most welcome! . #hopingthisworks #nigeriandwarfgoats #mischiefmakers
