Baby's first Christmas - Trying to find the magic among the disappointment. I missed so many Christmases with my family due to living in different provinces, and here we are, neighbours, and we can't celebrate our favourite holiday together. Luckily at 6 months this little one has no idea, and I'm optimistic that next year we will be able to congregate as we traditionally do

Holding our littles close as Covid notifications fill our inboxes An exposure in their school has made this thing we've feared for so long too near. My anxiety has spiked, but I'm keeping my cool for them, running through all of the protocols we have adopted. Masks. Space. Don't touch your face. Wash your hands. And if it happens anyways - it's not your fault, we will take care of you, you will be okay. We list all of the people we miss, all of the things we took for granted in the "before." We recognize that it will someday end and have declared that day one we will celebrate annually. The day we can safely share space. We can't wait.
