Perfect morning to cover the strawberries with straw for the winter-- frozen ground and no wind! In about 5 months we'll see them again when it gets raked off. The straw protects the berry plants from frigid temperatures, helps control weeds and makes for better picking conditions. Nice to get done, it's always the last farm job of the year for us. Keep safe everybody and shop local!

We've got our own potatoes for sale! Two Choices -- Gold Rush, white potato, golden skin, $25/50 lb bag. Huckleberry Gold -- purple skin, yellow flesh. These have a low glycemic index. $30/50 lb bag. Note, the ones we bag aren't washed like these in the picture! If you have a cool place to store them, get stocked up for winter. If interested reply here and we can arrange a pickup time.

Our row of Huckleberry Gold potatoes have huge vines and lots of beautiful purple flowers. These have purple skin and yellow flesh, plus a low glycemic index. If the big tops produce a good crop we may have some for sale in fall.

Wow, what a rain we've just had!! Much needed. We will be closed over the weekend and re-open Monday for Pick-Your-Own.
