Born with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain), you can imagine this family's day-to-day concerns with their 9-year-old son, Daniel. Daniel's family desperately needed help with their rent, and thanks to you, they were able to keep a roof over their heads. This small family has been trying their best to keep up, but the bills are piling up.... Rent should be the least of their concerns right now. Thank you for lifting that financial burden so that they could focus on the health of their son.

Happy Friday! Three-year-old Andrew was born with strength. Andrew came into this big world with Down Syndrome and a heart defect. ... At just five months old, he underwent terrifying heart surgery. Several grueling months went by, and Andrew finally went home for the first time to be with his parents and older sister & brother. Today, Andrew's mom care's for her son's needs daily, making it hard to keep up with the bills on just her husband's salary. Times are tough for so many, and YOU helped this family put food on the table when they needed it the very most. Andrew's family and so many others are thankful for their support during the toughest of times. Thank you. #JACC #childrenscharity #helpingsickchildren #bornstrong

One of the things we LOVE about our partners is the new and creative ways that they come up with to support our JACC children and families. In the midst of a pandemic, we know that people are missing being together, not just socially, but also with kids playing sports especially hockey! Let's Go Gaming, in partnership with the Don Mills Flyers and Uniting Gamers, has created an online eSports Tournament for those 18 and under, with the Grand Prize being a PS5! Lots of oth...er great prizes, and a free sweatshirt for the first 50 people to register! This tournament is taking place on Saturday, April 17th, 2021, from 12:00 3:00 p.m., right in your living room! REGISTRATION IS FREE and open to those 18 and under. They will also be encouraging donations to JACC to help sick children and their families across Ontario, who have been hit especially hard by the COVID-19 pandemic and the added expenses of having a sick child. Visit play.unitinggamers.com/leagues/244 to register or visit www.letsgogaming.ca for more information. See you on the ice! #letsgogaming #JACC #unitinggamers #helpingsickchildren #donmillsflyers #amazingpartners

Let's all scream out loud, "Yay, its' Friday, but yeah, A LOT IS GOING ON!" We are all climbing mountains right now, and having an immune-compromised child in your home adds a whole next level of stress these days. This artwork we recently received screams all of these COVID do's and don't but from a child's perspective.... It seems like so much noise when you see it all on one piece of paper. The incredible artist behind this piece also deals with the fact that her 14-year-old older brother is fighting Leukemia. YOU helped this family put food on the table while they battle cancer as a family. Thank you for understanding that so many families with sick children are struggling right now. It's heavy for us, but imagine what is going on in these little minds. Here's to all of the kids fighting their fight, climbing their mountain while taking in the world's problems. You are so strong; keep going. #JACC #helpingsickchdren #ontariocharity #childrenscharity #thankyou
