Today is my big doggies 5th birthday and while I don’t have an updated professional to share of him, I thought I’d share this sweet picture just to remind us all how much those furry family members of ours love us.

Today he is two Just another one of those special families that I’ve been documenting since the baby bump stage.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared any real estate-type photos on here. Four years of nursing, check! Was lovely working with this beautiful girl who just completed her nursing degree.

Almost everything will work again if you just unplug it for a couple minutes- including you. Hey that quote is for me. I’m not unplugging but I’m going to be taking a major step back from my social media platforms for a couple weeks. There’s a lot going on behind these scenes right now including a very mentally demanding practicum and a university semester that’s wrapping up in a hurry. I have assignments due everyday it seems and I just can’t catch my breath. I just need to slow down and breath a bit. I was going to wait until the new year to post the details but I just couldn’t wait. February 6/7 I’ll be hosting boudoir minis in Nanaimo (location tbt). These mini boudoir sessions will be a fully guided 45-60 minutes in length, will include 20 thoughtfully retouched images for $250+gst. In addition, professional hair and or makeup can be added to this packaged deal for $100 (less if you opt out of one service). A $100 deposit is required to hold your space. Limited availability as I will only be accommodating a max of 4 girls a day. Galleries will be finished and sent out before Valentine’s Day

Since I missed out on a Christmas post, here’s a Happy Boxing Day post, ha! Yesterday was the weirdest Christmas I’ve ever had. It was the first Christmas Day that I didn’t have my kids nor did I spend it with any of my family but thank goodness for technology I FaceTimed my mom while I ate dinner so it felt like we were together. I hope everyone enjoyed their quiet holiday this year. I’m already looking forward to a quiet New Years with my kiddos complete with charcuterie b...oards and bonfires. They say three’s a crowd, but I’ve always loved photographing families with three kids, especially these three. They’re thick as thieves and genuinely love one another it’s a nice change of scenery from my bickering two.

I just love these sessions where someone gives me the reins and let’s me run. Creativity is the food for my soul. Even when it’s crazy windy and I can’t feel my fingers, you still couldn’t wipe the smile off my face. Big thanks to this super babe for letting me take the lead on this session- it was so fun!

I have zero doubts that this little guy will have the best Christmas with his new fur brother

I cannot pin point what it is about this photo that makes me so obsessed with it. Maybe it’s the wedding dress-blundstone combo, or her drenched hair, or perhaps the perfectly situated campfire smoke behind her. Regardless, this shot just screams WEST COAST WEDDING, and I love it.

Yahoo, day one of Christmas Minis complete!! We couldn’t have asked for better weather.... well maybe a touch warmer would have been nice, ha! For everyone asking about the what if weather. I had some very wonderful little elves help me set up a tarp tonight so that everyone will stay dry this week & coming weekend. Can’t wait to see so many more beautiful families this week. I have decided starting next year I’m going to offer pick me up sessions. Similar to a boudoir session except you don’t have to step THAT FAR outside your comfort zone you can keep your clothes on. These sessions will be for individuals who just need a boost in confidence. Maybe you’re just coming out of a marriage or you have been out of the dating world for a long time.... or maybe you have recently completed a big health journey and you want to embrace the new you these sessions will be for YOU!!
