Do you have a health/fitness MISSION STATEMENT? Or maybe you’re wondering What the heck a mission statement even is?? A mission statement is a clear, simple statement of intent. It's what you want to do. How you want to live. What will guide your food, fitness and wellness choices. You will be making yourself accountable to you and your body. You're the boss and you have to report to you.... Take your time on this one, this process can take an hour, a day a few weeks, or more likely your whole life as it will change as you do. Don't rush it, you don't have to get it all in. Play the self-discovery game. Ask yourself some questions. . Who am I (who have I become) Who do I want to be? why? What is meaningful to me? Where do I want to go? what fitness, nutrition/health habits will get me there? What do I truly enjoy? Some of these questions will most likely take some time to thoughtfully answer. Writing them down on paper or a white board can help you think through it. Or, add on to it by asking someone you know what THEY think you stand for. Sometimes, our actions are not in line with what we say or think is most important to us. An outside eye can often see this before we can. Let's work on this together this week and start building your mission statement!! We’ll follow up with part 2 on Wednesday

Keep it simple peeps! Your Monday reset plan doesn't have to be dramatic or extreme. If you feel like your weekend was "off" and filled with a little too much processed/packaged/fast food, make a SMART goal this week to eat more produce!!! Don't make it painful, make it SMART. When you set a small BUT EFFECTIVE goal like this, you set yourself up to feel a burst of motivation and results!! Big changes come from small steps taken over and over!!... You got this.

Life is 10% what happens to us, 90% how we react . It's easy to be reactive. To have a craving, decide in that moment your goals are too hard and grab fast food, only to regret it later. To see someone succeeding and turn to jealousy. To hear criticism and react with our defences up. Have angry thoughts and want to post, text or talk about it. To feel sad and want to binge. To see the weather and skip your workout. Fail and something and want to quit . We are CONSTANTLY tem...pted by our negative voice. Guess what, you will always be having convos with that voice. That voice will tell you to let up and give in. Probably even throw in a few really good sounding reasons too . Today, choose to take a beat and breathe. To not engage. To find a different way. To be present with ourselves in our choices. To hold ourselves accountable . None of us are perfect, I'm certainly guilty of these things But, I know when I take that beat, that breath.........If I'm as present as I can be, I can manage that moment or situation so much better than when I don't See more

No bake Date Balls w/cocoa and PB . These Date balls are so damn easy and delicious. Perfect for an afternoon pick me up or a yummy post workout glycogen fill up . They are so versatile, you really can add anything you like and they’d most likely work.... except pickles I don’t think they would taste good haha.... . 15 pitted dates 1/4 cup Cocoa powder 1/4 natural nut butter (or throw whole in for crunch!) 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp vanilla ex. . Throw ingredients in food processor until dough like consistency. Roll into balls. Roll in coconut if you like. I just thought it would look pretty . Refrigerate for 1 hour. Enjoy!!! . #dateballs #delicious #wholefoodie #health #nutritioncoach #littlepickmeup #fitover40 #letscookbaby See more
