For those interested in the future of Historic Downtown Milton: As an implementation step of the Downtown Study Town Staff will be bringing Zoning By-law and Of...ficial Plan Amendments forward to Council for a Public Meeting on Monday April 24th. The Statutory Public Meeting will be held following the Council Meeting on the evening of Monday April 24th. In addition to this meeting, Staff will be hosting a workshop and information session with regards to the proposed Zoning By-law and Official Plan Amendments. The new Milton Transit routes have been finalized, and I must say I am extremely disappointed to see that none of my proposed solutions to the transit-free zone in Dorset Park have been implemented. Folks north of Main Street will just have to continue to pay for transit service that simply doesn't serve them. Sorry, Lily. I tried.

Downtown residents may want to attend the Public Information Centre scheduled for Tuesday March 21st regarding upcoming water main replacement on Main Street between James and Bronte, and water main rehabilitation on Martin Street. The drop-in session is at the Milton Leisure Centre from 6- 8. Oddly, while this was announced in the Champion on Thursday, it doesn't seem to appear on the Region's website.
