Harvested the last of the summer produce today, and checked out the fall crop. Still little baby sproutlings, but this chard should grow up over the rest of the fall as long as it is protected from the frost and warmed by the compost underneath it. Must be #Backtoschool with 5 kids, with oatmeal chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. Later tonight is Rice Krispie squares! There’s many differences this year, and we’re all thinking about the ways the world and school will be different. A little bit of the oatmeal cookie tradition brings a little bit of love and normalcy to the day.
