JB Massage 11.01.2021

To all my Valued Clients, Thank you for your patience during this pandemic and your support to flatten the curve by choosing to stay home and social distance. On May 27, 2020 the provincial government made the announcement that healthcare professionals may open their practice again in guidance with their colleges. Massage Therapy was including in the list of healthcare professionals. ... The CMTO (College of Massage Therapist of Ontario) has stated Massage Therapy treatment is considered essential when it can be demonstrated that the client’s overall health or function would considerably decline if treatment were not provided (i.e. lead to hospitalization or other serious health consequences). Therefore I am happy to announce over the next few weeks I will slowly begin to open my practice and prioritize the treatment of my clients. At this time, my online booking will not be available. If you feel you fall under this category and wish to book an appointment with me, please send me an email to [email protected] so I can book you in accordingly. Any appointments booked must follow the specific guidelines in order to receive treatment: 1. only ONE patient at a time - please do not bring anyone along with you to wait while you are receiving treatment 2. Please bring a mask with you to wear upon the arrival and duration of your visit 3. You must cancel if you feel sick or have come in contact with anyone sick - there will be no cancellation fee associated with cancelling 4. upon entering you will be given hand sanitizer and will have you temperature taken and must fill out a brief questionnaire - any yes answers or fever and you will not be permitted in the building My goal is to provide a safe environment for my clients and myself while being able to provide the treatment needed. I will continue to follow all guidelines by the CMTO and the Ministry of Health and continue to be informed for any updates on a day to day basis. If you have any questions are concerns please do not hesitate to reach out and I will answer to the best of my ability. Stay Safe & Take Care. Jennifer Boni, RMT

In an effort to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19, the Government of Ontario has extended the closure of non-essential businesses until May 29, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Therefore my practice still remains closed until further notice. The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)'s position is that Massage Therapists (RMTs) should not practice because CMTO does not view the practice of Massage Therapy as emergency/urgent care in this pandemic. On May 14, 2020 the Pre...mier announced the re-opening of some business in Ontario, including the resumption of some healthcare services (elective surgery and in-person counselling). Massage Therapy was not included in this initial phase of re-opening. I will continue to following any updates from government and stay hopefully that soon we will be able to open our doors again. Until then, please stay safe and continue to follow the guidelines in place to ensure the end of this pandemic.

Due to the current situation where people lose their income, there may be some who simply can't afford the daily necessities. If you fear that you or your child won't be able to have breakfast, lunch or dinner please feel free to send me a PM (private message) without fear, guilt or shame. I'll do what I can to help you. A cooked meal, a box of cereal, milk, bread, eggs, cheese, jam, whatever it is, I'll do my best to help you. Don't feel embarrassed because we all sometimes ...need help and we're all in the same boat. If you can help someone feed their family during this time, even one meal, copy it and paste it to your page to let others know they can count on you!

To my dearest clients, With a heavy heart I have decided to temporarily close my practice, effective March 17, 2020, until further notice. It has been an extremely hard decision that affects a lot of people but is a responsible thing to do in order to protect you all and myself. Our greatest role as Health Care Providers and evidence-based practitioners is to carry out the best and safest practice in accordance with Public Health recommendations.... The Ontario Medical Association recommends that we suspend all non-essential health services. In the wake of Covid-19, I want to offer my full support to our community by way of lessening the curve, reducing the risk of spreading and ensuring everyone is safe. I will be contacting those who are currently booked that will need to be rescheduled. Please stay home if you can, and together we can help contain the spread of this virus before it gets out of hand. With love, Jennifer Boni, RMT

As a Massage Therapist, there is a big grey area when it comes to tips. Whether it is nessicary to tip your RMT or not. It is never expected, but greatly appreciated. This holiday season, any tips that are recieved will be donated to this little girl and her family. If you would like to donate, please feel free to bring your donation to your next appointment, or just click the link below and donate directly. Every little bit counts. Thank you in advance!
