Confession: I don't always eat this well. In fact today we ran errands, mailed delivered valentines. I skipped breakfast (normal for me), but before long it was lunch and I was in the Tim Hortons drive thru. I may or may not have had 3 donuts and a serious sugar crash before I got home. Lucky for me I had this amazing meal of melt in your mouth butternut squash with the perfect hint of maple, nestled in a bed of creamy mushroom risotto with pumpkin seeds and just a touch of... heat on deck from @wildthymefoodie #drool I dined alone, phone down. Work load on the back burner. Kids playing mine craft. Dining truly is an act of deep self care and self love. Especially when it's made with such care and wholesome organic ingredients. I TRULY enjoyed myself Thank you @chefcareymclellan & @tracyyoungwellness for this experience and the beautiful service and food you provide with @wildthymefoodie Local friends: Spoil yourself. Love yourself, get yerself a catered meal. You will not regret!

If we take care of ourselves and fill our own cup, which includes watching the inner dialogue we’re spewing at ourselv...es, we will have more to give back, to be of service and go that extra mile. Down the hill from me lives these amazing people. I shot their wedding a couple of years, and one of my favourite photos ever is of Ruth standing in her wedding dress, breastfeeding her baby girl. Now baby 3 has arrived, and I can’t wait for the day that I get to meet her PS: thanks to everyone who came out to the farm for sunset sessions in the field We have snow once again and so now we’re shifting to tree farm photos. I love working from my back yard This hardworking mama of 8 stole a moment to take a portrait with her only daughter Their bond was so special, but between the whole lot of them, there was no shortage of love. Thank you Becky Maifrini for bringing your tribe out this afternoon! They really rocked their session and I can’t wait to share more with you!
