Psychological care is often the most ignored part of pain care. This type of care is vital to other types of pain care because your mind is involved in communicating with health care providers. It also impacts relationships with others and how you manage day to day life circumstances. Take a moment to thank your mind for all it does to take care of your body. There's a lot going on in there.

We really can prevent pain from taking over through several different strategies. When it comes to preventative care we really need to take charge. This takes self-discipline, motivation, and self-compassion. I encourage you to take a step towards prevention care - in fact this week I'm focused on body positioning and nutrition for myself.
