Box Breathing is a breathing technique commonly used by Navy Seals to regulate breathing, particularly when the body is in high stress or fight or flight mode. This technique stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system (the part of the brain that's responsible for relaxing the body) so it's used to help calm the mind and the body. Inhale slowly for 4sec through the nose, hold for 4sec, exhale slowly through the mouth for 4sec, then hold for 4sec. So whenever you're feeling anxious or stressed, try Box Breathing to slow down, and bring yourself back to a place of calm

Add a little festivity to your workout this holiday! One of my favourites is the 12 Days of Christmas Workout :) Do the exercises in the order that you would sing the song: 1st day of Christmas (1min plank), 2nd day of Christmas (2 jump lunges, then 1min plank), 3rd day of Christmas (3 plank jacks, 2 jump lunges, 1min plank) etc...you get the idea! Oh, and did I mention that this is another great bodyweight workout you can do at home with no equipment? YES! Now go get it!
