Here's a great article to read about credit scores and a few points to keep in mind: Lenders use Equifax & TransUnion, so it may not be worth your $ to pay for other providers such as Credit Karma, Borrowell, etc. The Credit Report that I pull for Clients and send to Lenders is VERY different from the view that Customers see Your "FICO Score 8" is the figure Lenders are concerned about ... Did you know that Equifax and TransUnion are offering FREE Credit Reports to Clients during Covid-19? Do you want to know the rate going INTO your mortgage, or the rate coming OUT? This is a great phrase I heard another Broker say that she uses with Clients who are only interested in getting the lowest possible rate upfront. I touched on this in one of my earlier videos how the penalty with a bank on a fixed mortgage is calculated far differently than the penalty from a mono line lender. Do your research, and don’t be naive to thinking you may have to break your mortgage midway through your term.... could have saved this woman THOUSANDS of dollars.
