Take a look at these 5 MUST READ tips to help you get the best house and the best deal in this current seller’s market. 1 GET YOUR FINANCING IN PLACE You have to be ready to act fast in a seller’s market, which means that you don’t want to be held up waiting for a mortgage approval. Get a mortgage quote before you even begin your search so you know how much you can afford.... 2LOOK AT HOMES $10K+ UNDER YOUR BUDGET With so much buyer competition, it’s not uncommon for homes to sell OVER asking price. If your budget is $150K, I recommend looking at homes $140K or under to give you some room to potentially offer over asking price if necessary. 3YOU HAVE TO ACT FAST Homes in a seller’s market can fly off the market in as little as a day, and there’s no guarantee that a home you’re interested in today is going to be available tomorrow. Of course, being ready to act doesn’t mean acting on impulse. It’s still important to make wise and informed decisions. 4KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT If you’re going to act fast, you’re going to need to know what is a deal breaker and what isn't. This includes things like location, number of bedrooms, need of renovations, etc. Knowing what is a must and what isn’t, will help you quickly narrow down homes during your search. 5MAKE A STRONG OFFER This is not the market for making low offers and hoping someone will bite.
