Did you know that many private insurance plans will cover 80% of nursing foot care services? Some insurance companies require a physician's note including the diagnosis (eg. diabetes). Some will only cover the service if the foot care is done in the client's home. I recommend that clients who have diabetes should receive foot care every 6-8 weeks. Looking after your feet is a good investment!
