When asked to submit a family photo recently I realized I hadn't taken one in some time! I seem to get busy with other's photos and time goes by... so here are a few we quickly took before the combine was rolling this week. A bit about me for those who follow along but don't know me....I am a farm wife & mom of 2 great kids who are always on the go and share a love for playing hockey which means lots of travel weekends in the winter to rinks all over southern Alberta. I hav...e a love of animals with 2 horses, 2 dogs, a salamander and kitties. I think I should attempt a full family photo with the pets but I had a hard enough time taking these with only the 2 dogs! I truly love anything photography and family photos are my fav session as they are a relaxed fun time to chill and get some candid photos with my amazing clients. A session feels like hanging out with friends while capturing some memories. Since I am a night owl, I stay up way too late editing photos and occasionally head out to shoot the Northern Lights when they are out to dance in the sky for a fun escape. Congrats to the Milo Grade 9 Grad class. All the best in your high school studies. Sorry for being a bit slow on posting these but this year has been far from a normal year! Hoping for the nice weather to continue to allow for more photo sessions.

With all the clouds and rain today I'm feeling incredibly lucky to have captured these images this week. Watching Lady Aurora dance is a fav time of mine that I look forward to throughout the year. I love how each session is so different in what my clients want out of their session. In this one we covered a lot and had a lot of fun too....grad, mom & daughter, multi generation, and we included a sentimental remake of a photo pose done twice in the past....I love the treasured memories captured here. Congratulations on graduating Hailey...what a perfect reason to get all these photos!

I love capturing that special connection between mother & daughter. Hoping for some warmer weather soon to get outside for more sessions like this :)

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to all of my clients, friends, and family. I had so much fun doing santa photos for my kids this year...lots of laughs were had. I love the magic of Christmas and enjoying it through the kids eyes is the best gift! I am truly blessed. Looking forward to more fun sessions in 2019.

The theme in all my fall sessions has been chilly. Usually fall allows many sunset and warm sessions but this year with a late harvest and some early cold weather we have all braved the cold. Another amazing family I spent an afternoon with capturing some family memories right at home. I love all the happiness in these pix...enjoy looking!

We braved the cold for a fun fall session. The boys did amazing and it didn't take much convincing to get them to lay & play in the leaves! This session is a perfect example of how photo sessions with liitle kids get a bit easier each year. Enjoy looking!

I was busy working on my new website for Canada Day and I am excited for all of my clients and followers to see it when it’s finished I did manage to have a drink to celebrate this amazing country’s bday we call home I hope everyone had an amazing Canada Day

Here is my final family session of 2017. We battled a bitterly cold wind to get a few wintery rustic shots before everyone wanted to get back in the truck! We finished with a few pix by the fireplace to warm up :)

A few highlights from a grad session I did in June. For those of you I haven't worked with, I post albums after clients have selected their images. Some clients pick their images in a week and others take a bit longer to decide :) This was a sunny hot summer day spent at the Vulcan golf course...it was challenging to find green grass this year with no rain. I love her dress...so flowy and gorgeous....congrats Keyara!

I'm catching up on posting some highlights from a fall session which was so fun for all. Little ones love to run and explore and this was no exception! A theme in almost all my fall sessions was the wind but we still got some amazing fun family pix. Enjoy looking at a few of my favs from this session.

I love so many things about this session....these 3 were so much fun while we did some painting with light in the grasses, used a couple different rustic backdrops and ended with a sweet antique car. Thanks Kerry Mulvihill Aiken for asking me out for this little adventure :)

I had the opportunity to photograph the newly elected Vulcan County Councillors, the County's CAO and his Executive Assistant during a short break during their first council meeting since the election.

We have the most amazing sunsets that look like paintings....here's my fav fall sunset I captured this year I wanted to share with all of you :)

Today's solar eclipse...

With the intention of photos of the grandparents with the grandkids it was tricky to keep all the kids participating so we ended up doing some other fun family and couples photos and I love how they turned out :)
