This weekend, we are learning two new songs as part of our online gathering. They are both simple and easy to pick up and we have included the links to the first one below. Here's what worship leader Jared Crossley said drew him to the song: "Every Promise of Your Word" (https://youtu.be/lR12igCoVKI) by Keith and Kristyn Getty... "I love how this song instructs us to commit to memory and to stand upon God’s promises revealed in Scripture."
Registration is now open for our Ministry Night AGM on Sun, May 2. We will be giving updates on what God is doing in this unique season in the life of Jericho, approving the 2020 financial statements, and discussing what post-COVID ministry will look like as we look to the future. This meeting will be conducted online via Zoom and pre-registration is required. Info is at https://www.jerichoridge.com//2021-05-02-ministry-night-2/

Our partner @mbseminary has put together an Easter Season Devotional resource featuring 47 daily devotions to guide you through the season of Lent (Feb 17-Apr 4). Oops! Sorry to those who were watching our brand new Sunday AM live stream option over on Telus Optik TV channel 878. Unfortunately, we set it up to time out at 60 minutes and the gathering lasted a bit longer (you know those pastor-types :)) so you got cut off abruptly at the end. We'll work to resolve that for next weekend. (Other that this, we welcome your feedback on this new initiative).
Some people have a practice of fasting for Lent. What’s the purpose and importance of fasting? Is there a difference between intermittent fasting for my health and fasting for spiritual purposes? Do I have to fast only from food or can I give up other stuff? (like Facebook). Join us for a discussion on what to do and what not to do with regards to this overlooked but dynamic spiritual practice. https://www.jerichoridge.com/sermon/understanding-fasting/
Young Adults: Come out tonight at 7 PM and meet Pastor Jason!

Christians are sometimes quick to whip out the "Matthew 18 principle". But we often forget the other vital things Jesus said in the same chapter about confrontation, relationships and forgiveness.
On Sun, Nov 29 we begin our 2020 Advent journey entitled "A Joyful Hope". Watch this video invite and consider sharing it with a friend and inviting them to join you next Sunday online
We are at our capacity limit for this morning's Watch Party (a first for JRCC!). We invite you to join us at home either on our church online platform or on our YouTube channel for a lively discussion of Matthew 18. We will also be sharing communion so make sure you have elements ready to go.
The now familiar mantra from Dr. Bonnie Henry reminds us to 'Be Kind, Be Calm, Be Safe'. An ancient version of this call to compassionate action appears in Ephesians 4:32 where we are invited to practice an intriguing but difficult set of attitudes and actions that will help us love our neighbours well.
Join us in-person for a physically distant gathering tomorrow AM. We have 30 spots currently open for you. Register online at https://event-33552-893d.pushpayevents.com/
