A locally consolidated supply chain is not only integral for maintaining quality standards - but it also ensures ethical and environmentally friendly practices. Dyeing can be one of the dirtiest businesses. Many oversea dyehouses do not have the stringent environmental s...tandards that Canada upholds. As a result of this lack of oversight - dyehouses in low cost countries use unvetted chemicals and put little investment in ensuring the discharge is safely disposed of.
