What do honey bees do in the winter? It’s getting cold out and the bee hives do not have insulation or furnaces like we do. They do not burrow underground or hibernate like other animals, instead, bees will "cluster". Honey bees are sensitive to the cold and will enter a chill coma at 6 degrees C, preventing them from moving and consuming their honey (food). A cluster generates heat and must be maintained throughout the winter for survival. PS. The beehive was painted by Josip's granddaughter! Truly a family business over here.

This our last weekend open. We will be open the Holiday Monday, with reduced hours 10 AM - 3 PM. Monday will be our last day open for Pick Your Own as the raspberries have completely slowed down. It's an exceptionally short season for us, but we thank you for all our wonderful customers who have come out to support us for our brief season! Sunday Aug. 2 -- CLOSED Monday Aug. 3 -- OPEN 10 AM to 3 PM Tuesday Aug. 4 onward -- permanent closed for the season.

We are CLOSED for Pick Your Own tomorrow Wednesday July 21st. Unfortunately because of the intense volume of pickers the past few days the raspberries plants need a day to rest. We will reopen our usual hours, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Thanks for your patience and as always keep checking back here on our Facebook page and our Instagram for more regular farm updates! See you Thursday!

We are CLOSED for Pick Your Own tomorrow Thursday July 16th. Unfortunately because of the intense volume of pickers the past few days the raspberries plants need a day to rest. We will reopen Friday and Saturday. We know alot of our pickers drive out a ways to see us so please repost this so the word gets out. Farming is never a linear and predictable thing, so we do apologize if this throws off your plans and causes some inconvenience. As always keep checking back here on our Facebook page and our Instagram for more regular farm updates! Thanks again for alllllll your support this season. It means alot!

We are now open Monday through Saturday for Pick Your Own Raspberries, 8AM - 3 PM. Please note our COVID-19 Rules.. and remember if you do not abide by the rules of the patch we have the right to ask you to leave. Raspberry Patch Rules Please wash or sanitize your hands before entering and after leaving the patch.... You will be assigned to a designated picking area in which you are to remain. DO not go wandering around and picking in other rows! Absolutely NO eating berries in the Raspberry Patch! Pick a Raspberry and put it in your mouth is a direct germ transfer.. We know its difficult but try to wait until you have finished picking your berries to sample. You can imagine how difficult it would be to sanitize a raspberry bush. You can only use our paper pints, we will not be accepting any outside containers. Maintain a 2m distance from all other pickers and staff at all times. Children are allowed in the patch only if supervised by adults at all times. Keep them closeby! Usually we love watching the kids play and run around but those sticky little hands love to touch everything, and we are trying to keep our farm as sanitary as possible. Leave pets at home. THANK YOU!!!
