Title: today I went outside and found contentment in the sun Date: 2020 Artist Statement: The sun is a constant during the wave of uncertainty. In a time where the distance between each other is greater each day I have struggled to remain stable, often feeling detached from something that was once so familiar. As I close my eyes and sit in the sun I allow the light to create patterns in my vision, reminding me of my childhood and simpler times. In an attempt to translate this sensation through line, I give my mind something else to fixate on; a moment of quiet within the commotion of a new normal.
