real life- mid laugh moment. i came across this quote on insta this morning, and DAMN it’s fire. this mama is now in a relationship, but mamas wait for someone who embraces YOU as who you are and what you have. i always wonder why some men are put off by single mothers. they seem to have this perception of them as being desperate or clingy. most single mothers run their home, pay their own bills, look after themselves AND their kids while holding down a job (or multiple) and everything else life throws at them. SO you should just be thankful she is allowing you to have time in her life at all

looking back on this past year I can truly say that it was a challenging, heartbreaking, fulfilling, earth shattering, strengthening, + beautiful year. the universe sometimes forces us to stop and take a breath. work through our pain and trauma + really feel it in order to heal. sometimes you need to tear something down to build it back up. And build it even stronger. i truly believe things do happen for a reason, season or lifetime. 2020 has taught me many things, ab...out myself, life + love, disappointment, resilience and community. it may be the norm to say this: but I can truly look forward to the coming year with hope and love and excitement + know that I am exactly where I need to be. 2021 i am ready for you. (you can catch lainey + i eating all the pizza and appetizers this evening. once she heads to bed, this mama splurged on an expensive bottle of champagne because tomorrow symbolizes something pretty freeing, and watching the JUSTIN BIEBER CONCERT OH HECK YES).
