Have you ever saw someone's selfie and wondered how they truly feel inside? Chances are no because we are so inclined to judging and believing that a person who takes a nice picture is doing as well as they look. Here's a little insider, I took this picture to make a statement. Someone can smile, someone can seem happy but you truly never know. I personally have been going through a rough patch and all I want is to be honest. Being honest isn't a weakness, it's scary to show... the world but here is the truth. Life sucks sometimes. We can try and be positive and "look on the bright side," but it's easier said than done for people like myself. I'm not very happy lately, and although I know things will turn around having patience is fcking hard. I know I'm worthy and have lots in me and that I want to make a difference in the world, but somedays I do feel hopeless. I know I have so much to be grateful for and people are going through worse in the world, but again it's not easy for me to just "be grateful," for me it takes some time. I wish I could tell you life was all sunshine and rainbows, but half of what you see on social media isn't what life is really like. If I think everyone is doing great it truly does make me feel more alone so if you have the chance to be honest about your feelings, then why not try it? Being honest isn't to through a pity party it's to show your true feelings and let release them. We would be less judgemental of ourselves and others if we were all a little more honest. Yes life will get better, and from lows only come the best highs but let's just accept that life isn't perfect and NO ONE is. Our mind can play tricks on us often. It's not easy to think highly of ourselves or believe we are full of greatness, but it's true. We are full of unlimited possibilities and I want to reach my full potential in this life time. I know it won't be easy, and I maybe struggling now but it's temporary. One step at a time we will rise.
