Fresh, light and earthy I am living for this sitting room design ... I found the curtains and everything else just fell into place. A beautiful space to start out with your morning coffee or put your feet up in after a long day.

On the hunt for that perfect vintage piece

We were busy little bee's this weekend and got most of our corrugated metal up on the exterior. Next weekend we are hoping to start installing the canexel siding! Huge shout out to Mom and Dad for helping us on Saturday we could not have done it with out you! @ Sheridans Rapids

Another weekend has come and gone Slow down summer!

I cannot believe how lucky I am to travel all over Lanark and Leeds Counties doing what I love! Such a great feeling to be back out on the road for design consultations!

It's been awhile since I have spotted one of these bad boys I will take this luck and run with it!

It's all in the details! I knew that I wanted a shiplap wall going down into the stairwell to help create interest and lengthen the look of the wall/room overall. We purchased pine from our local mill then I cut every piece to length and sanded. Once installed I filled all the nail holes then sanded them down, time for primer! When working with pine there are great savings but it also comes with a little extra work. I like to paint over all of the knots with 2-3 coats of primer to ensure that they will not come through. Once that is complete I did a coat over the whole wall with primer and now it is ready for a final coat of Benjamin Moore Vanilla Milkshake! I am so thrilled with how this turned out; it adds so much to our space! Now we just need to add a couple of finishing trim pieces and we are on to the next project.

Tile went down Shiplap and Trim went up Next up is paint and grout! This front entry is really coming together I cannot tell you how excited I am for a front closet and we are so close!

Mood .... Happy Friday everyone! Brewski is having a lazy dog day, wish I could cuddle up with him but I got things to do! ... oh ya and we finally got our curtains up! So much has been accomplished around here this week, stay tuned for more updates and stay cool out there!
