Nothing sweeter than those real life moments

2019 was a great year and I wanted to take the time to say thank you to all of you! Thank you for choosing me and trusting me to capture your life’s moments, bi...g and small. I love what I do and I’m so grateful that I am given the space to do it with such amazing, loving families. Today was my last session of the year and I will be taking a little break from photography until the spring so that I can be 100% dedicated to motherhood. Happy New Year! This photo fell into my memories recently and got me thinking. I took this self portrait in 2014 while briefly living in NYC. I had been using my camera for a...lmost 10 years at this point but something was shifting and I was starting to see it as more than just a hobby. What I didn’t know then, was that my ever growing passion for photography would become something even more special over the next 5 years and would connect me with some incredible people. I had no plan, no idea where it was going to take me or what I was going to end up doing with it along the way but I knew that I loved it and that I wanted more. It was a constant learning curve and every new experience I had was adding to my understanding of what I loved about it. I would smash every fear that stood in my way and come out the other end with a new skill that would help me grow a little bit more. That’s what excited me then and still excites me now.
