Here it is finally finished. It is quite busy but perhaps this is how I interpret the world: more than a bit overwhelming. I think this piece is about figuring out a different, brighter and healthier life. The fish in the dark curtain have come to represent going against or going with what external forces dictate (family and society expectations as an example). The girl by looking through the curtain has decided to scrap the current entirely to do what is right for her. This... piece really is about finding oneself, accepting oneself and finding happiness. But that is just what this piece is for me. So here it is I have decided to celebrate Mother’s Day in style by having a retrospective art show at the northern united place in Yellowknife.
