Moving Tip #9 Have a plan for fur--babies On moving day, the best way to reduce stress on an animal and keep them out of danger is to keep them secure in the quietest area possible. Transport them securely in your car during the move and once you’ve arrived, make sure they have a quiet, safe space to wait until all the unpacking is done.

Moving Tip #8 The last thing you should do before you leave is to double-check rooms, closets and drawers. The first thing to do when you arrive is to set up the bed and fall asleep as soon as possible!

Moving Tip #7 Ger yourself a kit of some essential moving supplies for moving day. Our kit must-haves: garbage bags, packing tape, box cutters, permanent markers, adhesive bandages and paper towels.

Moving Tip #6 Moving a distance? Keep essentials with you. If any issues come up with your moving truck, especially over long-distance moves, you will want everyday essentials like a change of clothes, toiletries, your kids favourite stuffed toy and medications with you, not on the truck.

Moving Tip #5 Get hooked up! Once you have your move date, contact utility providers and scheduled service at your new place. There’s nothing worse than sitting down at the end of a long moving day and not having electricity, heat or internet. Keep notes of all service requests in your moving folder. And, don’t forget to cancel all services on your move-out date at your current place.
